Frequently asked

Once your headcount reaches 20 employees, EPF registration is compulsory. Below that, you can register voluntarily. Even contract staff count toward the 20-employee threshold.
Employees earning ₹21,000 per month or less must be enrolled in ESI (₹25,000 for apprentices). For establishments in most states, 10+ employees triggers the registration requirement.
An Internal Complaints Committee of at least 4 members, headed by a senior woman employee, and with at least half its members women — mandatory for any workplace with 10+ employees.
